5/24/22 FUMC Updates

It’s hard to believe that SUMMER is upon us … maybe not “officially”, but with graduations happening all around us, school getting out this week, and Memorial Weekend here, we are now in a summer mindset!  In fact, we have 2 students graduating this year: Grayson Mayberry, Quitman ISD, and Taylor Newton, Winnsboro ISD. This Sunday, 5/29, 10:50 we’ll recognize them so please pray for them both as they complete one leg of their life journey and begin another!

Wednesday, 5/25, 6 pm … WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEAL: our last weekly Wednesday night meal will be this week so don’t miss it!  In June, July, and August, meals will be held on the first Wednesday of the summer months.

Thursday, 5/26, 9 am-3 pm … SEW DAY: bring a lunch and come join the Prayer Quilt Ministry on the last sew day of the season before their summer break.

Wednesday, 6/1, 6 pm MONTHLY WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEAL and VISION MEETING: after dinner, we’ll head over to Wesley Hall for some small group conversation to start writing our vision statement.

Sunday, 6/5-Wednesday, 6/7 … North Texas Annual Conference: everyone is welcome, but registration is required, register HERE.

Have questions? Stop by Wesley Hall after church on Sunday, June 5 and we’ll do our best to answer your questions about possible denominational changes in 2024.

Sunday, June 12th, 10:30 am … CHILDREN’S CHURCH BEGINS: let’s meet together in Wesley Hall to pray over our new Children’s Church Ministry and the children in K-5th grades who will join Heather on this new venture.  Please watch for our posts on Facebook and Instagram and share them with your friends.

THIS SUNDAY we’ll continue in our series on LIVING A SPIRIT LIFE … we’ll look at the Gerasene demoniac and the prophet Elijah, both of whose lives were changed when the Lord enabled them to go from MADNESS to STILLNESS.

Grace and peace,

Pastor Debbie
